This bus was purchased from Commuter Bus, a private company. I was excited out of my mind to purchase this bus. It was my first fishbowl. I made a deal to trade a 4104 for it. I picked it up in the mid 70s and it was unheard of New Looks being sold off at that time. I used it in bus service in my early years in the charter business. It was a regular on my line between Simi Valley and Los Angeles. I painted it two times and settled on the two-tone green paint job. I did overhaul the engine and did routine maintenance on it for well over the 30 years I owned it. Even SCRTD of Los Angeles offered $10,000 to buy it from me. Of course I turned them down. This also had a train horn installed on it. A Nathan M5. Now it really had a voice. We had great fun with this bus, driving it all over California.
Fun Fleet Bus #5201 was sold to a bus fan from New York.
